"Maybe I'm an asshole but I'm a lovable one"
"It's a great colour!"
"Yeah," he snarled sarcastically, "for people without taste!"
He took his mug and sat down.
"Or if you're blind" he continued, without giving George a chance to answer.
"And best also mute so that you can't complain about it."
George snorted and let himself fall onto the couch next to Mitchell.
"We need some positive energy in our lives. Purple is such a vibrant colour. It immediately cheers you up when you enter the room." He gave Mitchell a sideway glance. "Especially good for you, Mr. Sarcastic!"
Mitchell sighed theatrically. "I have enough problems already without my eyes hurting from all the purple!"
George drew in his breath and looked unnerved to the ceiling.
"Asshole!" he stated in a far too calm voice.
"At least not a colour-blind asshole", Mitchell answered.
"Annie will like it." George tried it again.
Mitchell laughed and sipped his tea. "Of course" was all he said and patted pityingly George's knee.

"Sci-fi-thingies"
"That's sooo cool!" she cried ecstatically and clapped her hands together. In an instant she disappeared into thin air, only to pop out of nowhere at the other side of the transporter platform. "It's like in 'Doctor Who' or 'Star Trek' or one of these Sci-fi-thingies". She said.
"Look at all these lights.” She looked up and eyed the blinking circle above her.
"I can't believe it!" She stared at Tuvok who had followed her outburst. "Aliens really do exist!"
She still looked at him and nodded before she continued more to herself than to him. "But why am I so surprised? I mean... there are werewolves and vampires and ghosts,” she paused and giggled lightly, "why not aliens?"
Tuvok's cool gaze lingered on her and his fingertips flew over the controls.
"I'm Annie btw.” The female ghost in the grey sweater said kindly, "and you are?"
In order to reach him she stepped directly into one of the circles. That was the moment Tuvok had waited for. With the precision of a vulcan he hit the buttons exactly in time and witnessed how the female human disappeared in a cascade of white glowing light.
'Back to earth', he thought and scanned once again after his actual target. "Where was the talaxian?"
